The Institute of Transportation Studies along with the College of Engineering are offering up to four Fellowships to qualified applicants as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Graduate Automotive Technology Education (GATE) Center of Excellence.

UC Davis is poised to enhance its leadership position in energy research and education through the breadth of its programs, the highly interdisciplinary nature of its academic enterprises, its geographical location and recent growth in faculty numbers.

3) Plug-In Hybrid Center at UC Davis, December 2006

Demonstrating its commitment to explore new technologies, California Energy Commission approved $3 million to University of California, Davis for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) research center. The funds will be allocated over three years and use the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies as its hub.
